- I just exchanged a new Sportster 33.6 internal modem that was constantly
- disconnecting (usually during a long file transfer). After the disconnect, an
- ATI6 would look like the modem had just initialized. It had no idea that it
- had ever had a connection to begin with. It might have been a bad component.
- Although I still am not sure exactly what the "Spiraling Death" USR problem
- was, the articles that I did see seem to indicate that it also was a heat
- related component problem. The new modem works fine and I've yet to see it
- disconnect.
